Son of Takshaka attacks Arjuna

During the Conflagration of Khandava Van forest with the aid of Lord Krishna and Arjuna, Agni or the god of fire engulfed the entirety besides four Sarngika Birds, Mayasura and Ashvasena or Ashwasena; Son of Takshaka nag. Lord Krishna protected Arjuna from the destructive snake weapon shot by Karna during the Mahabharata war. Do you know while not having the approval of Karna, Ashwasena still attacked Arjuna? let us know about that incident in brief.

First, let me remind you what exactly happened to Ashwasena throughout Khandava van Daaha and why he decided to take revenge on Arjuna. On the grounds that Arjuna did not comply with the guideline set by means of Narada Ji for the duration of Pandavas' live in Indraprastha consequently, he went to the forest where he met with Lord Krishna and both of them collectively decided to assist Agni to get back his glory via engulfing entire wooded area there. During the Conflagration, the Takshaka snake was In Kurukshetra at that time. His son Ashwasena and his wife were there in the forest. Intending to rescue her son from the fire, she ate him alive and attempted to fly away into the sky but Arjuna cut off her head with his arrow and killed her there. However, Indra Dev rescued Takshaka's son by way of creating a storm and rain.

On the seventeenth day of the Mahabharata war, two superb warriors Arjuna and Karna started out combating. each of them used the best of their weapons towards each other and injured them. They were unstoppable. In the course of their fight to kill Lord Krishna, Karna used five golden arrows which seemed just like five snakes that hit him on his armour and destroyed it. Those arrows were not apart from the adherent snakes of the Takshaka snake. Those were then about to get back to Karna, But Arjuna shot ten Bhallas and broke each of these to a few pieces consequently killing them. Seeing Lord Krishna wounded, enraged Arjuna killed thousands of main guards, Chakra Rakshaks, and Kaurava warriors who as per Duryodhana's command had been protecting Karna. Karna counter-attacked Arjuna. They displayed their great abilities at the same time as using many weapons. Karna being injured by way of Arjuna then thought of using the Sarpa Mukha arrow at him. Karna didn't recognize that snake Ashwasena via its Yoga Bal was dwelling inside that weapon. After shooting it at Arjuna, a terrific meteor started falling and notable lamentation was felt even by the deity king Indra and the whole Lokapala there.

Deity Indra seeing the snake inside that weapon almost believed that his son Arjuna would die now. however tremendous Lord Brahma consoled him by saying, "Deveswara! do not grief. Arjuna will without a doubt win." Charioteer Shalya advised Karna to find another powerful weapon that might cut off Arjuna's head. Karna overlooked his suggestion by means of pronouncing that a warrior like him by no means searches for arrows twice or in no way fights in guile.

Seeing the harmful arrow coming in the direction of Arjuna, Lord Krishna by way of pressing his feet on the chariot sank it one cubit deep into the earth as a result the arrow missed its goal. Stuti as regards admiring Lord Krishna's first-rate efforts were heard in the sky and divine flowers were showered on him. Because the chariot went down to the earth, That arrow hit Arjuna's beautiful crown, which was presented by his father Indra earlier rather than his head. As a result, it fell to the ground there. (Lord Brahma after practising austerities and penance made that awesome crown for the deity king Indra, that could never be destroyed by way of Lord Shiva, Varuna, Indra and Kubera through their Pinaka, Pasa, Vajra, and different weapons respectively.) That crown was captured through the Sarpa Mukha arrow by the snake Ashwasena who constantly kept hatred feelings for Arjuna.  However, It did not affect Arjuna at all. He tied up his hair with one white cloth and endured the warfare.

Ashwasena after hitting on the crown returned to Karna and was about to enter his quiver. Karna noticed the snake. Ashwasena stated to him that, "Karna! You did not shoot the arrow with awareness for which I couldn't hit Arjuna's head. yet again you do it and I'm able to certainly kill your enemy. " Karna asked him his identity. Ashwasena then gave his introduction and referred to his mother's demise incident of Khandava Van Daaha for which he now came to take revenge from Arjuna. Ashwasena showed Karna that even Indra would not be able to keep his son.

Karna responded to him that, "Nag! today I don't want to get a victory with the aid of someone else. I can no longer look for arrows for the second time. I have already got the Sarpa Mukha arrow. furthermore, the hatred feelings that I've been keeping towards Arjuna are greater than sufficient to kill him. Therefore you thankfully leave from here. "

Ashwasena couldn't tolerate the refusal of Karna. He came to his unique form of a snake and charged in opposition to Arjuna immediately. Seeing the fierce snake coming near, Lord Krishna informed Arjuna about the snake's identity and the reason why it was coming to attack Arjuna there.
